Rives de la Beauté Begins in Paris

The fifth annual session includes walks spanning different neighborhoods and boutiques, museums and conferences.

PARIS — The fifth annual Rives de la Beauté event, which highlights the link between the City of Light and beauty, began here today.

The five-day happening involves four walks spanning different parts of Paris — including the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Rue Saint-Honoré, plus the Marais and Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhoods — and encompassing boutiques, museums and conferences. It’s all meant to reflect beauty’s multifaceted character and how it is connected with other disciplines, such as fashion, literature, film and art.

Some stops along the way include the Salon Littéraire Orient Occident, with a conference on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.; Les Arts Décoratifs museum, where the exhibition “Dans la ligne de mire” featuring French jewelry is being shown starting Friday; the Atelier Cologne fragrance boutique, and a roundtable discussion at the Institut Français de la Mode on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
