PARIS -- Sanofi Beaute SA, the beauty and fragrance division of French pharmaceutical giant Elf-Sanofi SA, registered a 10.3 percent gain in worldwide sales for 1993, according to the company.
That increase was on a comparable basis. The total gain, which included results from the acquisition of Yves Saint Laurent Parfums, was 97.7 percent to $709.6 million (3.9 billion francs) from $358.9 million (1.97 billion francs) in the same period in 1992.
Sanofi cited strong sales performances from YSL, Van Cleef & Arpels and Oscar de la Renta.
