PARIS – Inspiration was gleaned from Scandinavian pottery for the beauty look at Rochas’ fall 2012 show, according to makeup artist Lucia Pieroni.

“We were going for something really quite earthy,” she said. So for lips, Pieroni used a blackberry hue.

“It’s sort of stamped on mouths,” she continued, adding a mélange of burgundy and pewter tones gave a smoky eye, which Pieroni described as “very soft.”

Highlighter was applied on the top of cheekbones.

Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman crafted a low-slung ponytail cinched with a barrette. Hair leading into the clip wasn’t pulled taut, while strands hanging under it curled gently.
