Tom Pecheux, working for Estée Lauder at the Derek Lam show Sunday morning, chose a dramatic silver eye as the makeup focus. “It’s an architectural minimalist look,” he said, pointing to the array of fall Estée Lauder products he was using backstage. Pecheux used Estée Lauder eye shadows in Silver (with a metallic finish) and Black (with a shimmer finish), sweeping them across the eyelids in a cat’s-eye shape. On the browbone, he used Illuminating Powder to catch the light and Automatic Brow Pencil for a polished look. After prepping skin with Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator and DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15, Pecheux added Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 and Lucidity Translucent Loose Powder, applying Bronze Goddess Soft Duo Bronzer below the cheekbone for emphasis. Lips were finished with Nude Matte Lipstick.
Orlando Pita, working for T3 at the show, kept hair relatively simple. “It’s a classic schoolgirl look,” he noted. Pita began by using Elevate, a hair volumizer he created for T3, and a T3 Single Plus flat iron to straighten hair. Next, he sectioned hair into three parts, using T3’s Featherweight Luxe dryer to further straighten hair. He next took the middle section and combed it back, finishing with Control, a hairspray from his T3 collection.
Jin Soon Choi, working for Estée Lauder at the show, used Estée Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Porcelain on nails and toes. The shade is set to launch this fall.
