SHIP SHAPE: In Italy, Pantene is teaming up with 800 gyms to offer "well being from head to toe," a promotion in which they are giving away 1.5 million samples of the new Pantene Pro-V, as well as personalized hair analysis in 200 gyms.
KMS BRINGS ON THE COLOR: KMS is joining its peers and launching Turnstylr Colors, a line of temporary color styling gels. Six different colors, including green, blue, purple, gold, red and orange are infused with "cosmetic colorona pigments" to add color, shine and shimmer. The gels are medium hold and wash out instantly. They will be sold in select salons, as well as the KMS Web site, for $6.95 in September.
REVLON POST: Gregoire Cabri-Wiltzer was appointed managing director of Revlon’s Europeene de Produits de Beauté division, under which brands such as Revlon Creations, Charlie, Rouge de Revlon, Gatineau, Ultima II and Flex are grouped. Cabri-Wiltzer took up the newly created post at the end of May and reports directly to Giorgio Laurenti, European president of Revlon. Cabri-Wiltzer previously held positions at Ales, Estée Lauder, Bourgeois and L’Oréal.
L’OREAL PRIZE: French beauty giant L’Oréal was awarded the 2002 Boursoscan award for the best Internet site among companies listed on the Euronext exchange. Seven thousand people voted in the competition. Boursorama, a Web site with stock information, and TLB, a tracking firm, organized the award.
CAMP CARE: Responding to the families of victims of Sept. 11 who didn’t want to be apart from each other this summer, the Gift of New York and Revlon have teamed together to bring summer camp activities to families right here in New York City. Dozens of kids, parents and caregivers are expected to participate this summer. Last weekend Andrew Tisch, chairman, Gift of NY and Loews Corp. executive committee; and Jack Stahl, Revlon’s ceo, launched the summer camp program at the Sea Lion tank in Central Park.

EXCLUSIVE: Two and half months after John Targon, cofounder and codesigner of Baja East, was hired as creative director of the contemporary division at Marc Jacobs, he has left the company, WWD has learned. Marc Jacobs International, which is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, confirmed Targon’s departure in a statement: “John Targon is a talented designer and we appreciate the work he has done here.
