PIERRE MICHEL TO MOVE: After 40 years of business at 131 East 57th Street in Manhattan, on Nov. 1 Pierre Michel is moving a few steps east to a 10,000-square-foot space located on the third floor at 135 East 57th Street. The new salon, which is larger than the existing salon by 4,000 square feet, is surrounded by 35 windows and will accommodate 61 work stations, each equipped with a camera and phone, soundproof tile floors and walls and a cafe. Peter Williamson of the Celadon Group has been tapped to design the space.

MASTHEAD SALLY: Celebrity hairstylist Sally Hershberger has joined the masthead at People StyleWatch as a regular contributor for their “Who Got It Right” beauty column. Hershberger has been featured several times in the magazine’s beauty pages, but this move makes her a regular contributing editor beginning in the November issue.

FEKKAI FASHION: Frédéric Fekkai has joined forces with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund to cohost an intimate fashion presentation highlighting looks from the 10 designers chosen as the 2009 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists. The event, to be held in Los Angeles Oct. 30 at the Chateau Marmont, will align Fekkai with the next generation of American designers as he and his team create hair looks to complement their collections.

NEW FACE: Rimmel London, the edgy mass cosmetics brand owned by Coty Inc., has added two faces to its advertising lineup. One is Georgia Jagger, a daughter of Mick Jagger, and the other is Coco Rocha, the Canadian supermodel.
