“The main emphasis at Christopher Kane is on the brows, a cross between straight and boyish and Brooke Shields,” said Lucia Pieroni of Nars, who brushed them up with Oural Brow Gel and drew them in with Brow Perfector.

She applied Copacabana Illuminator to parts of the face, followed by a pinky wash of shadow, on the eyes and across the cheekbones, nose and chin “as if a ray of light had just shone down the face.”

The final touch was a dot of metallic shadow in the middle of the eye. She curled lashes, and used Pure Matte Lipstick in Bangkok.

“Hair is all about little moments rather than one big one,” declared Redken stylist Guido Palau.

He was referring to models’ messy partings, bobby pins, and hair half-tucked behind the ears or into the collars of Kane’s sweaters.

“It’s all in the attitude,” he said. “Christopher likes the girls to look the way they look.”
