MILAN — For his swan-song Jil Sander show, makeup artist Peter Philips said that creative director Simons wanted to portray “a day in the life of a woman, from morning until evening.”
Using Chanel products, Philips created “ivory skin, no mascara, just a curled lash,” set off by a bright lip. Le Crayon Levres Pivoine 32 was used for lip contouring and was filled in with Rouge Allure Velvet L’Élégante 35, “almost the color of a rose petal, echoing the very strong but delicate theme of the show,” said Philips.
Hairstylist Guido Palau created a ponytail. “It’s perfect for an evening look,” said Palau.
Using Redken products, Palau blow-dried hair straight with Satinwear 02, making a short, deep, left-side part that stopped mid-way on the scalp. Hair was brushed back to add height and then pulled into a very low ponytail that left only earlobes uncovered.
