PARIS — While Lanvin’s fall 2012 fashion collection was embellished and luxurious, the beauty look remained unadorned.

“The hair is very simple,” hairstylist Guido Palau said before the show, explaining each models’ part was allowed to fall into place. “So there is a real naturalness to it.” Then the textured tresses were just tucked behind ears.

Palau shampooed models’ hair and applied Redken Extreme Anti-Snap leave-in conditioner.

Makeup artist Pat McGrath placed the emphasis on eyes – which were swept with a wide, black wing – and raspberry-colored mouths.
