LONDON — Using “very beautiful skin that is quite sheer looking” as a base, Petrohilos created drama with the eyes via lots of mascara coating top and bottom lashes finished with liner. He painted freckles around the nose and cheeks eyebrow pencils in Lingering and Coffee shades. “Freckles make everyone look younger,” he reasoned.

Cheeks were glossed with Have a Lovely Day from the Casual Colour line. Lips were slicked with balm.

“Modern cool girls are the ones who look like themselves and not as if they are in disguise,” hairstylist Sam McKnight said of his individual approach, striving to “make each girl look great, but in a minimal way.”

He used Sebastian Forte Mousse to straighten long hair and Magic Move paste for shorter crops, adding a little Oribe texturizer for “a lived-in look.”
