Nick Gavrelis has been promoted to vice president of global product development for face and PRO products at MAC Cosmetics.

Gavrelis, most recently executive director of global product development for face and PRO products at MAC, will continue to report to Jennifer Balbier, senior vice president of product development for MAC Worldwide.
In his new role, Gavrelis will continue to lead product development in the growth and strategic portfolio development of MAC foundations, concealers and powders, and further expand MAC PRO products and services, artistry tools and brushes.
“Nick Gavrelis is a talented product innovator,” stated John Demsey, group president of the Estée Lauder Cos. “His passion and knowledge of the beauty industry is a tremendous asset to the brand.”
Gavrelis joined MAC as a makeup artist at Nordstrom in 1992, later becoming the retailer’s first national beauty director. In 1996, he returned to MAC as manager of artist training for the East Coast. After running his own cosmetics label, Pretty Pretty, from 1999 to 2001, Gavrelis returned to MAC in fall 2001 as part of the product development team.
