Consumers obsessed with wearing the cosmetics designs François Nars created for the fall runways of Marc Jacobs, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Thakoon will soon get their wish, as part of Nars Cosmetics’ new “Runway, Real Way, Nars Way” project.

Later this week, Nars Cosmetics will release three videos on Facebook and YouTube, with additional information to be disseminated via Twitter (twitter.com/narsissist). Created backstage at the designers’ New York shows in February, the 40-second videos are intended to show consumers how to create wearable versions of each of the looks in three steps apiece.

Nars makeup artists Jenny Smith, Uzo and Jane Richardson demonstrate the techniques on women from the Nars marketing department, using Nars products available in stores and online at narscosmetics.com.

The 3.1 Phillip Lim look, which focuses largely on the eyes, includes Nars’ Luxor Multiple, Riviera Multiple, Nymphea Single Eyeshadow, London Eyeliner Pencil and Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara; the Marc Jacobs design, with a defined eye and coral lip, is created with Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, Tokyo Duo Eyeshadow, Aigle Noir Soft Touch Shadow Pencil, Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara and Barbarella Lipstick, and the Thakoon look, subtle smoky eye and nude lip, uses Orgasm Illuminator, Lovejoy Blush, Bali Single Eyeshadow and Cruising Lipstick.
