PARIS — Art & Fragrance acquired Cosmetics Perfumes Services SAS, a filling and logistics company, for an undisclosed sum.
CPS, based in Ury, France, had been family-owned and was founded in 2005. Its customers include Lalique Parfums and Jaguar Fragrances, both owned by Art & Fragrance, of Zollikerberg, Switzerland.
Art & Fragrance will slowly transfer the preparation, filling and packaging functions of its fragrance portfolio to CPS.
“By in-sourcing the production and logistics for our perfume brands, we are controlling and securing a key element in our value chain,” said Roger von der Weid, chief executive officer of Art & Fragrance. “This is an important strategic advantage in light of our now significant perfume volume. We also expect savings in our production and logistics costs in the medium term.”
All of CPS’ employees, numbering about 70, are to be kept on by Art & Fragrance. The company expects to increase the site’s capacity in the medium term.
