Calypso Christiane Celle, which operates the Calypso boutiques, has named Todd Kahn president and chief operating officer, a new position at the luxury fashion, beauty and home accessories chain.

Several other high-level positions have also been filled to support the company’s expansion.
Kahn, former executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sean John, will report to Christiane Celle, chief executive officer of Calypso.
Before his three-and-a-half-year stint at Sean John, Kahn worked for three years as president and chief operating officer of Accessory Network Group. Previously, he was chief operating officer of Salant Corp.
“We are in an extraordinary period of growth and retail expansion and I am confident that Todd will contribute significantly to our future success,” Celle said in a statement.
Calypso recently unveiled its latest resort collection designed by another new hire, Elisa Miller, design director, who held the same position at Coach and earlier worked at J. Crew. The collection will arrive in stores in November 2007.
“I look forward to working with Christiane and growing her vision for a global luxury brand,” Kahn said in a statement.
Calypso also named Jerry Weinbrom chief financial officer. He had been vice president of finance for Echo Design Group.
Wendy Terebesi was appointed vice president of sales and marketing of the perfume and beauty division. Terebesi was previously vice president of wholesale at l’Occitane. She will oversee the launch of two new fragrances for spring 2008 named St. Barth and St. Tropez.
Calypso was launched in 1992 on the island of St. Barth’s. There chain has more than 30 locations, including units in New York City; the Hamptons on New York’s Long Island; Paris; Saint-Tropez; St. Barth’s; Los Angeles; Bal Harbour and Palm Beach, Fla.; Dallas, and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif.
