Ferragamo Parfums Inks Deal with BPI Canada

The partnership covers sales, trade marketing and distribution.

MILAN — Salvatore Ferragamo Parfums SpA and Beauté Prestige International Canada have inked an exclusive, multi-year deal that is effective starting this month. It covers sales, trade marketing and distribution.

BPI Canada is a division of Paris-based BPI and Shiseido Canada Corp.

Luciano Bertinelli, chief executive officer of Ferragamo Parfums, said the partnership “reinforces our collaboration with the BPI group, with which we have settled an agreement for the U.S. market in 2013, reflecting our long-term strategy of teaming up with strong partners and aiming for a high level of brand positioning. We are sure that BPI Canada will play a crucial role in developing our business in the Canadian market.”

Ferragamo Parfums has been selling its more than 20 women’s and men’s scents in Canada since 1998. The brand is present in retailers there including Hudson’s Bay, Holt Renfrew, Sephora and Murale.

BPI is also the exclusive distributor of Burberry fragrances and cosmetics in France, Spain and the United States, as well as for most European and some Asia-Pacific travel-retail markets.
