JOINING GO: Pierre Letzelter has been named president of Groupe Go Sport, the sports equipment and clothing retailer owned by Rallye. Letzelter, 68, replaces Catherine Soubie, deputy chief executive officer of Rallye, who had served as Go Sport’s interim president. Letzelter had been president of Sephora Group at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, he served as president of LVMH’s Selective Distribution division from 1999 to 2002; president of LVMH’s Moët Hennessy from 1996 to 1999, and chairman and ceo of LVMH’s Moët et Chandon from 1994 to 1996. He began his career at L’Oréal. At the French beauty giant, Letzelter oversaw numerous international subsidiaries.
YMA PANEL WITH DOW: As part of a two-year alliance with YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, Dow Fiber Solutions, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Co., will sponsor YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund’s Roundtable Dec. 4 at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Tim Gunn returns as moderator for the third year, with panelists including Kenneth Cole and Mervyns chief executive officer Rick Leto discussing careers in the fashion industry for students. YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund is a not-for-profit that since 1971 has awarded more than $5 million in scholarships to support emerging talent in the fashion industry.
