TOMMY BAHAMA VP: Tommy Bahama Group has appointed Sharon Osen as vice president of marketing and creative services. Most recently, she served as senior director of client services at Interbrand Corp., and earlier was with Desgrippes Gobé and Siegel+Gale. Her duties will span all business units and product lines, including women’s and men’s apparel, home furnishings, accessories, licensed products, retail and restaurants, as well as e-commerce. Based in New York, Osen reports to Anthony Margolis, president and chief executive officer of the Tommy Bahama Group.
GAP GETS LABOR AWARD: Labor Secretary Elaine Chao presented Gap Inc. with a national New Freedom Initiative Award for the retailer’s work with Abilities Inc., a New York-based organization that helps people with disabilities gear up for positions in business. Gap has contributed funds and expertise to a mock store and curriculum for training. The retailer also helps participants practice interviews and hires qualified applicants from the program.
