Inter Parfums SA Eyes 15% Growth

The company raises guidance and notes operating margin might reach 10-11 percent next year.

PARIS — Inter Parfums SA said it expects total sales in 2013 to reach 340 million euros to 345 million euros, or $459.5 million to $466.3 million at current exchange.

In late October, the Paris-based subsidiary of Inter Parfums Inc. had said its full-year revenues may exceed 335 million euros, or $452.8 million.

Looking ahead to 2014, the company expects that at the current euro-dollar levels, like-for-like sales should gain 15 percent with an annual target of 280 million euros, or $378.4 million.

Highlights next year will include the first Inter Parfums SA-developed products for Balmain and Karl Lagerfeld. There is also a second men’s Montblanc line and the first Jimmy Choo men’s scent in the pipeline.

The firm said due to significantly strengthened advertising budgets, its operating margin might reach 10 percent to 11 percent.

And thanks to its estimated cash position at year-end 2013 of 220 million euros, or $297.3 million, Inter Parfums said it would “continue to explore all major opportunities to expand its portfolio to acquire new brands either on a proprietary basis or as a licensee.”
