Kerson Looks to Extend Reach

To extend its global recruiting reach, Kerson Partners Ltd. executive search has hired Elaine L. Arozarena as vice president.

NEW YORK — To extend its global recruiting reach, Kerson Partners Ltd. executive search has hired Elaine L. Arozarena as vice president.

Arozarena, who will continue to be based in Madrid, has worked in executive search for more than 12 years and has plenty of international experience. She has worked in the fashion, retail, luxury and consumer markets and with global brands including American Express, Cadbury Schweppes, Citigroup, Discovery Network and Revlon.

Her last job was regional managing vice president for Korn/Ferry International, in charge of the Iberian Peninsula. She split her time between the U.S. and Spain. Earlier, Arozarena was a partner at Heidrick & Struggles in the New York office, where she headed the international practice and was a member of the e-business and diversity practices.

She began her career in international recruiting at Russell Reynolds Associates, where she was part of the team that opened the Mexico office. Later, she led the firm’s searches in Latin America. She is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and English.

“She gives Kerson Partners a capacity to do true global search work for our major clients, many of whom are expanding rapidly on an international basis,” said Robert Kerson, chairman and chief executive of Kerson Partners, which specializes in senior-level searches for retail, manufacturing and luxury goods industries.

Prior to her career in executive search, Arozarena was a vice president and managing director of media and news services for Nielsen International and vice president of international client sales and services for Nielsen Europe, based in Milan. She also held senior positions with Dun & Bradstreet International, credit services in Latin America and Europe and lived in seven countries.
