Parlux said this week it expects to report net sales for the second fiscal quarter reaching $53 million, a 43.2 percent jump from $37 million in the same period year ago.

The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based fragrance producer, which is licensed to market scents from Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Guess, Nicole Miller, Josie Natori and others, added that it is expecting revenues for the half ended Sept. 30 to add up to $76 million, a 10.1 percent increase from $69 million a year ago.
The firm plans to report final results in early November.
Along with the announcement of preliminary sales results, Parlux noted that domestic department store sales of Simpson’s new scent, an August launch called Fancy, have reached about $6.5 million. Sales of Hilton’s new scent, Fairy Dust, which was launched last month, have reached roughly $1.5 million, according to the firm.
