PARIS — Dance shoe brand Repetto and Inter Parfums SA have signed a 13-year worldwide fragrance license agreement, which begins on Jan. 1.

The first Repetto fragrance is expected out in 2013.

“Repetto is an exceptional brand that has acquired unique know-how in the field of dance,” stated Philippe Benacin, chairman and chief executive officer of Inter Parfums SA, the France-based subsidiary of Inter Parfums Inc. “We believe that this universe offers real opportunities for creating a range of poetic, glamorous and ultra-feminine fragrance lines.”

Repetto is in international expansion mode, having opened 27 new stores this year. Another 22 are planned for 2012. The company’s focus is primarily on Europe. However, it’s expanding its Asian reach, too, mainly in South Korea and Japan.

Inter Parfums’ other fragrance licenses include Burberry Lanvin, Van Cleef & Arpels and Paul Smith.
