Jennifer Aniston, one of last megawatt Hollywood stars not to have her name on a fragrance, is expected to reveal shortly that she has signed a deal with the Falic Group to launch a scent, perhaps later this year.

None of the participants — Aniston’s representative nor executives at the Falic Group — could be reached for comment Tuesday, but WWD reported Aniston was shopping for a beauty deal on Feb. 12, 2009, a day after the actress’s 40th birthday. If confirmed, Aniston’s scent will mark the second celebrity fragrance deal for the Falic Group, which signed Eva Longoria Parker to a scent deal last year. Longoria Parker’s first fragrance is set for an April launch.
Aniston’s payday on any fragrance deal could be as large as it was for one of her latest movies — she was reportedly paid $8 million for 2008’s “Marley and Me.” According to sources, top Hollywood celebrities can command anywhere between $3 million and $10 million for lending their high-profile names and sculpted cheekbones to fragrances and other beauty deals.
Aniston is no stranger to creating beauty trends, although her hair is arguably the most famous of them — “the Rachel,” created by stylist Chris McMillan and named for her “Friends” character, showed up from Los Angeles to Laredo in the late Nineties. She has also appeared in advertising for L’Oréal’s Elnett hair spray.
Aniston’s latest film, “The Bounty Hunter,” opens March 19. She is filming “Just Go With It,” set for a 2011 release, and is in pre-production on “The Goree Girls,” on which a release date has not yet been set, and stars in “The Switch,” which has been completed and is expected to be released later this year.
