Winona Ryder, Robert Verdi, Patrick Starr and Juno Temple were among the notables who joined Marc Jacobs Monday night at the Hotel Walcott ballroom in Manhattan to celebrate the latest launch from Marc Jacobs Beauty, a mascara called Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. Ryder appears in the advertising and brand videos for the launch, which was inspired by Jacobs’ first beauty memory of his mother carefully shaving fibers from a velvet ribbon to create her own couture faux lashes. Designed to be an ultravolumizing mascara that delivers instant dimension for lashes, the mascara, $26, is available at Sephora and sephora.com. It is produced by Kendo, the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned brand incubator.
