Celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves has entered into a partnership with Disney whereby he will collaborate on developing a kids’ hair care line planned for spring 2012 to mass retail stores.
The line, which will include a shampoo, conditioner and styling products, will build on Disney’s fairies franchise and involve Tinker Bell and the whole enchanted world of Pixie Hollow. The hair care range is slated to roll out to the mass market in spring 2012. Paves has also collaborated creatively on a Disney film scheduled for a fall release. The Disney deal is in addition to Paves’ ongoing projects, which include Hairdo Clip-In Extensions, a line that is expanding into wigs.
Most recently, Hairdo launched the Angled Cut Wig and will introduce a Feathered Cut Wig this fall on QVC. Meanwhile, Paves’ hair care line, Selfhelp, was purchased by Italian pharma company Medestea Internazionale, which has created new packaging and formulas for the line, as well as new products. The brand will launch 10 new products in 2012.
