If you’ve got cash to burn, hair guru Oscar Blandi has the heat to fan the flames. Starting this month, Blandi’s eponymous Madison Avenue salon will be offering a one night a month service called Blowout Lessons and Bellinis. For $300, customers can get a one-on-one, hourlong blow-dry class with a senior stylist, served up with a side of Bellinis and hors d’oeuvres. Limited to 20 participants, classes start off by having clients choose a preferred look. Stylists then do a step-by-step demo on one side of the client’s head, before turning the tools over to the client to replicate the look on the other. “It’s about teaching women the basic steps that will help in the long run,” says Blandi, “from how to properly hold a brush when styling to a step-by-step list of customized products. It’s about learning how to manage your hair.”
