NEW YORK — Red Carpet Manicure aims to pull ahead in the race to bring innovation to the rapidly expanding at home gel manicure market with the first portable LED light with a USB port. All future portable devices shipped from Red Carpet will feature the new light, which is used to cure the nails.
“Innovation has been driving the nail industry and we take pride in evolving our product line, providing cutting edge and top-of-the-line new products for nail enthusiasts on and off the red carpet,” said Barry Shields, managing partner of Red Carpet Manicure.
The new light offers women convenience in finding a power source when they are not near outlets. “I’m constantly traveling with my portable LED light to celebrity clients and I love that we can now plug in with a USB connection,” said celebrity manicurist Michelle Saunders, who added she’s also enthused about new Designer and European LED Gel Polish collections and new appliqués, gems and glitter products added to the line. “My clients are also going to love the new shades, especially the evergreen Viva in Disguise and the beautiful slate shade VIP Access that are very on trend.”
Red Carpet’s new European Collection offers nine shades created for those who want classic looks. The Designer Collection is for those looking for on trend shades. To customize looks, Red Carpet Manicure is adding accessories such as glitter and appliqués. Red Carpet has been singled out by Ulta as a strong performer in its nail-care department and the new items will launch at the retailer in March.
Red Carpet also got a shout out from celebrity manicurist Lisa Logan, who created Beyoncé’s nail look for her performance at the inauguration. Whether or not she was actually singing, her bright orange nails got rave reviews against her dark outfit. To get a similar look, Logan recommended Red Carpet’s Tangerine on the Rocks during interviews about Beyoncé’s vibrant nails.
