Dipping into the lip segment for the first time, organic skin-care brand Tata Harper is set to launch all-natural antiaging lip treatments this March. These antioxidant lip balms are designed to provide antiaging benefits without synthetic or chemical ingredients.
“In our quest to keep skin beautiful, sometimes we neglect the lips — lips have very fragile, delicate skin that ages faster,” said company founder Tata Harper. “Many customers do not want to add another step to their beauty routine, so these treatments are great for easy, everyday multicare benefits.”
Two of the three lip products, Be Adored and Be True (each $28), provide a plumping and line-reducing formula that restores vitality to lackluster lips while helping reduce signs of aging. Additionally, they are packed with all-natural antiaging ingredients such as a collagen extract, Spanish lavender extract, and date palm extract to achieve a plumper look and reduce fine lines. “The collagen extract is believed to help make fat cells fatter and improve the natural volume of skin,” said Harper. “Many other lip plumpers use harsh chemicals that irritate the lips. Our formula is 100 percent natural and made with unique concentrated active ingredients.”
Be Fierce ($24), the third piece in the collection, is a sheer, hydrating, conditioning lip treatment containing antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients to protect against free radicals. This is used to protect against environmental aging and contains green tea oil, acai oil and alfalfa chamomile.
“Most lip care products are full of fillers,” said Harper, “but every single ingredient in our products holds antiaging benefits.”
Industry sources estimate first-year sales will increase 18 to 20 percent due to the new lip care trio. All three products will be available in locations including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Exhale Spa and Canyon Ranch, as well as online at tataharperskincare.com.
