Ritaro Igaki has been named president and chief executive officer of Tokyo-based fragrance supplier Takasago International.

LONDON — Ritaro Igaki has been named president and chief executive officer of Tokyo-based fragrance supplier Takasago International Corp., where he replaces Hiroki Take, who passed away last month.

Take died suddenly of heart failure on March 24, according to the company. He was 65.

Igaki, 61, was most recently director and executive vice president, chief director of administration and director of accounting at the fragrance supplier. He began his career at Takasago in 1971 and has held several roles there, including chief financial officer of the company’s U.S. arm.
