MILAN — Elizabeth Arden has announced that Marco Ficarelli, general manager of the company’s Italian branch since 2008, and of its French brand since 2011, has been promoted to general manager for European and Middle Eastern distributors. Alessandro de’ Medici will take over Ficarelli’s previous role as general manager in Italy.
The company credited double-digit growth over the past four years, as well as Ficarelli’s successful development of the Elizabeth Arden brand and its licensing portfolios — including Juicy Couture and John Varvatos — for his promotion. In his new role, Ficarelli will be responsible for expanding business in Europe and the Middle East, an increasingly important market for the beauty sector.
De’ Medici has joined Arden after many years spent at Unilever in Italy and France. He also worked for Gruppo Campari, where he was international brand director, and Tod’s, where he oversaw wholesale and retail for the brands Tod’s, Hogan and Fay across Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia.
