Makeup artist François Nars is no stranger to business (he sold his eponymous line to Shiseido in 2000) or pleasure (this is the man who gave us Orgasm blush, after all). A perfectionist with impeccable taste, Nars’ exacting standards are apparent in everything he touches, be it the makeup look he creates each season for Marc Jacobs or his private compound in Bora Bora. Here, on the eve of the 2013 fall collections, he shares his favorite haunts in New York City.
