Funeral services were held Wednesday morning for Herbert Morris, a longtime cosmetics industry executive.

Morris, who was 79, died of heart failure Sunday at his home in Warwick, N.Y.
He had retired in 1999, following a nearly 50-year career in the cosmetics business. Morris held a series of marketing and managerial positions at Revlon, Helena Rubinstein, L’Oréal and Trina, a cosmetics accessories firm where he served as president. After leaving Trina, Morris started his own marketing and managerial consulting firm, H. Morris & Partners.
He served in the Navy during World War II and graduated from the University of Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Susan, and their two sons, Zachary and Joshua. By a previous marriage, Morris is also survived by four other children, Monte, Marcie, Westly and Wade.
