In his new post, McNatton will provide creative direction for the Gap brand, according to Inter Parfums, which is licensed to produce and market personal care products and fragrances for Gap Inc.
Inter Parfums noted that McNatton “has had a long association with Gap Inc., having served as its senior vice president for personal care products for eight years, until 2002.”
McNatton, who has won numerous Fragrance Foundation FiFi awards — including two for Gap fragrances — will see his first creation as part of his new role, a new Gap scent called Close, make its debut in all Gap stores on April 23.
“Gary McNatton has a 22-year history of consistently delivering award-winning design in the fields of personal care, fine fragrance, home products and package design,” stated Jean Madar, chairman and chief executive officer of Inter Parfums Inc. “He is extremely talented and, beyond that, is exceptionally knowledgeable about our industry and the Gap brand.”
