L’Oréal Luxe Names Retail Director

Vincent Boinay has been appointed to the post within the division.

PARIS — Vincent Boinay has been appointed international retail director in L’Oréal’s Luxe division.

It’s a newly created position that oversees the international retail department recently set up within the French beauty giant’s Luxe division, which includes brands such as Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent and Giorgio Armani Parfums and Cosmetics.

“The international retail department will, via the creation of a center of retail expertise within L’Oréal Luxe, promote relations with major international distributors; further develop the division’s digital operations, in particular [customer relations management] and e-commerce, and drive the retail and service strategy,” L’Oréal stated.

Boinay has worked in the Luxe division since 1991, when he joined L’Oréal. For the past four years, he has overseen the division in Japan.

Prior to that, between 2005 and 2007, he was L’Oréal’s managing director of travel retail worldwide. Boinay has also held positions at Biotherm and Lancôme, among other L’Oréal divisions.
