L’Oréal has announced numerous high-level executive changes effective Sept. 1. Paolo Gasparrini, currently the French beauty giant’s chief executive officer of China, will become the subsidiary’s chairman.
Gasparrini is to be succeeded in his present role by Alexis Perakis-Valat, who oversees the greater Europe zone for L’Oréal’s consumer products division.
In yet another move, Vianney Derville — chief of L’Oréal Paris worldwide — will step into Perakis-Valat’s current post.
When Alain Ducasse retires after 27 years with L’Oréal, most recently as head of its consumer products division in France, Hervé Navellou, managing director of the Mexico subsidiary, will take on Ducasse’s role.
Also retiring is Xavier Filou after 41 years at L’Oréal, most recently as managing director of its international corporate trade relations. Jean-Nöel Divet, managing director of L’Oréal’s operations in Poland, is to replace Filou.
