Lopez replaces Pierre Lampert, who has relocated to Paris to be general manager for the coordination with North America for L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division.

In his new post, which he took Sept. 1, Lopez reports to Paul Sharnsky, senior vice president and general manager of the L’Oréal Salon Products Division, and will be responsible for overseeing L’Oréal Professionnel’s business in U.S. salons within the United States. He’ll also oversee brands including the Série Expert hair care line and the Texture Expert styling line.

Lopez, who joined L’Oréal in Venezuela in 1992, has held numerous marketing and general management roles for the company in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and France.
