The cause of death was complications from Alzheimer’s disease, according to Edith Ann Ardison, Bottner’s personal assistant for many years at Revlon.
Bottner ran the group from 1968 to 1991. In his career at Revlon, he also headed up Knomark Inc., a maker of Esquire Shoe Polish, and Schick Electric Shavers.
