L’Oréal’s new executive committee was revealed January 1 with some significant changes. These include the appointments of An Verhulst-Santos as managing director of the Professional Products Division; Sara Ravella as managing director for corporate communications, sustainable development and public affairs; Marc Menesgueb as managing director of the strategic marketing department (a new position),
and Nicolas Hieronimus as the managing director of the Luxury Products Division.

In January, Joachim Bolz became president and chief executive officer of Henkel France, replacing Bruno Piacenza, who was promoted to Henkel’s worldwide executive committee.
Hisayuki Suekawa was named president and ceo of Shiseido, effective April 1, succeeding Shinzo Maeda, who becomes chairman. Suekawa, 51, joined Shiseido in 1982, and became Maeda’s right-hand man in 2008. Beauté Prestige International, the designer fragrance division of Shiseido, named Patrice Bellard its new president.
Fred Carr was named ceo of Colorescience Pro, with the charge to grow the brand in its professional distribution and introduce another line for direct-to-consumer or retail distribution in as soon as 18 months. Colorescience Pro has estimated retail sales of $30 million to $40 million.
Mary Beth Peterson has been named Jurlique’s president for the Americas and Europe. Most recently, she was vice president and divisional merchandise manager of skin care at Sephora USA.
The New York–based investment group TPR Holdings has tapped Neil Katz as a special adviser to assist in evaluating acquisitions. Katz began his career in 1977 at Revlon, and was most recently ceo and chairman of Parlux Fragrances Inc. He resigned in January 2010 amid differences with the board.
