Jill Granoff has been named chief executive officer of Kellwood Co., where she will oversee brands such as Vince, Rebecca Taylor, Phat Farm and Sag Harbor. Granoff was most recently ceo of Kenneth Cole Productions and spent 17 years in the beauty industry. At Kellwood, she will report to Christopher T. Metz, managing director of Sun Capital Partners, which bought the company for $762 million in February 2008.

Lionel de Benetti has left his post as director of research and laboratories at Groupe Clarins. After 36 years at the company, he’s become president of the scientific commission within Clarins’ supervisory board. Meanwhile, ERIC GOORIS has become director of research. He was formerly director of Clarins’ laboratories.


Martin Kaufmann has been named general manager of Aveda North America, replacing Emmanuel Rey, who has left the company. Most recently an industry consultant, Kaufmann has also served as managing director for Procter & Gamble Professional Care North America.


Artemis Patrick, most recently vice president of e-commerce merchandising at Sephora Americas, has been named general manager of Sephora inside J.C. Penney.
