Gibson said he has experience as a makeover maven and has been featured on shows including “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” “Oprah” and “Movie and a Makeover.” But this role, he said, is more permanent.
“I want to expand the idea of what I do on a regular basis by showing how they [women] can take their look and go from ordinary and take it to extraordinary,” said Gibson.
Five episodes featuring Gibson have already been taped and he is expecting to shoot another 20 by the end of the year.
As for Arrojo’s departure, TLC executives said, “The show is in its seventh season and we have been making some changes to keep it fresh. This is one part of that.”
“What Not to Wear” airs Friday nights at 9 p.m.
