The goody bags at CEW’s 18th annual Beauty Awards Product Demonstration weighed almost 20 pounds, but the nearly 2,000 attendees didn’t seem to mind. The buzzy crowd excitedly sampled their way through the 600-plus products on view, while CEW’s Carlotta Jacobson was surrounded by a throng of journalists eager to hear her favorites. “It was gratifying to see the tremendous buzz,” she said. “I think it stems from the fact that this is the one-and- only award selected by beauty insiders.” Also among those sampling the wares: Revlon’s Alan Ennis, Clinique’s Lynne Greene, Gurwitch Products’ Claudia Poccia and StriVectin’s Jill Scalamandre.
