Cosmoprof Las Vegas is adding a bit of competition to its trade show.
On July 15, in a private room at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Claudia Lucas, director of merchandising for beauty at QVC, and Wendy Pos-Cerveira, director of health and beauty at The Shopping Channel, will host a live open-see to find the next “hot product” among exhibiting companies.
The initiative, meant to help emerging beauty brands gain awareness and new distribution channels, will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. and will be open to all exhibitors.
According to Daniela Ciocan, director of marketing for Cosmoprof North America, “beauty executives from these shopping networks will be looking for innovative and authentic product concepts, with the ability to connect with their viewers.”
This year’s Cosmoprof Las Vegas will take place between July 14 and 16 at Mandalay Bay and will also feature a panel on digital’s influence on the beauty market, called “The Next Phase of Online Marketing: The Smartphone Mobile Platform.” The talk, moderated by WWD’s Belisa Silva, will feature Erica Evans, vice president of merchandising for HSN; Maya Mikhailov, vice president and cofounder of GPShopper, and Kate Voyten, vice president at P&G Prestige for Gucci and Escada fine fragrances.
