Come January, skin care company CeraVe will introduce three new products with updated color-coded packaging, set to the rest of the line throughout 2013.
Developed with dermatologists, the Therapeutic Hand Cream, Renewing SA Cream, and Renewing SA Foot Cream aim to combat issues typically associated with cold, winter weather — rough, dry and itchy skin.
“We’re building on the success of the brand by expanding into new product categories, while remaining true to our therapeutic positioning,” said Alissa Hsu Lynch, vice president and general manager of consumer products.
The Renewing SA Foot Cream, $10.99, contains salicylic acid and ammonium lactate, also found in the Renewing SA Cream, $22.99, to exfoliate and soften skin. Both also contain vitamin D, and the brand’s patented Multi Vesicular Emulsion for controlled hydration delivery. The Therapeutic Hand Cream, $10.99, features ceramides and hyaluronic acids to moisturize below the skin’s surface and impede water loss. Products — except for the Foot Cream, which is exclusive to podiatrists — are available in most drugstores and mass retailers.
The line’s updated packaging will gradually make its way onto shelves beginning with the brand’s three new offerings.
“We haven’t changed the packaging look since we first launched in 2005,” Lynch added. “We wanted to give the brand a fresher, more contemporary look while at the same time dialing up [our] dermatology heritage.”
