Skin Authority, a skin care company that makes professional-grade products that are sold by doctors and used at spas, is looking for growth.

The newest product to join the firm’s 26-item lineup is a Wrinkle Reversing Serum, which uses skin growth factor technology. According to Celeste Hilling, chief executive officer and founder of Skin Authority, the serum is not only meant to fight wrinkles and aging but also to boost the immune system using skin growth factors.

“As we age our immune defense starts to break down. By putting skin growth factors in, it pushes the skin to shoot back to the surface,” said Hilling.

This technology, she said, gives a glow to the skin.

Wrinkle Reversing Serum, which will sell for $125, is the first product to launch in a line Hilling is expected to launch in the first quarter of next year. Additional items look to be an eye serum and hair thickening shampoos. The serum could generate as much as $2 million in first-year sales, according to industry sources.

Since the late Nineties, Skin Authority has been “coaching” the consumer towards achieving healthy skin through online videos, live chats, a radio show and a 24-hour hotline, Hilling said.

“Consumers can’t live in a dermatologist office. Professional guidance isn’t really available to them, and we provide 9-1-1 skin care at no extra charge,” she said.
