NEW YORK — Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. named Paul Blum chief executive officer, effective June 20.
Blum, who had spent 15 years at the company and rejoined as vice chairman in March, is succeeding Jill Granoff, who left the company earlier this year. Since her departure, Blum was considered a front-runner for the ceo role. During his time at KCP throughout the Nineties and early Aughts, he was considered to have played an instrumental role in the growth of the company. Before returning to the company, Blum spent five years as ceo of David Yurman Inc.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
