WASHINGTON – President Bush nominated Susan Schwab to be the new U.S. Trade Representative, replacing Rob Portman, who was nominated to be director of the Office of Management and Budget.

Schwab is currently deputy USTR and will pick up where Portman leaves off with the ongoing Doha talks in the World Trade Organization and a slate of free trade agreements that are being negotiated.
