NEW YORK — Coach Inc. on Tuesday said fourth-quarter income jumped 36.5 percent while full-year earnings shot up by 34.3 percent from year-ago results.
“This quarter’s performance demonstrated a continuation of the strength we have seen throughout the year as our market share continued to grow across all channels and geographies,” said Lew Frankfort, chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement.
For the quarter ended June 30, income was $160.6 million, or 42 cents a diluted share, from $117.6 million, or 31 cents, in the same period a year ago. Sales rose 30 percent to $652.1 million from $501.6 million.
For the year, income was $663.7 million, or $1.76 a diluted share, from $494.3 million, or $1.27, a year ago. Sales were up by 28.4 percent to $2.61 billion from $2.04 billion.
