PARIS — Christian Dior continues to juggle its regional management, WWD has learned.
After tapping ex-Gucci executive Patricia Malone last April to succeed Marla Sabo as head of Christian Dior Americas, the French fashion house has appointed Christiana Schiavolin as its new president in the Asia-Pacific region. She starts Sept. 18.
Previously, Schiavolin was president of Dolce & Gabbana in Japan and Asia-Pacific. Her résumé also includes stints at Jil Sander and Prada.
Schiavolin will succeed Pierre Denis, who will move to become Dior's regional president in Europe, a new post. Both Schiavolin and Denis report to Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, Dior's chief operating officer.
