BERLIN — Douglas Group, which holds Douglas Perfumeries and retailers of books, apparel and jewelry, has sold off its confectionery arm Hussel to Emeram Capital Partners. Details of the Thursday transaction were not disclosed.
According to Douglas, Munich-based Emeram intends to expand Hussel with more stores nationally and internationally, as well as a stronger online offering. The candy chain currently consists of 219 doors in Germany and Austria, and 29 in Portugal.
