LONDON – Europe’s stock markets were on the upswing in mid-morning trading on Tuesday, with the exception of the FTSE 100 in London, which was down 0.2 percent to 7,402.37.The DAX in Frankfurt and the CAC 40 in Paris were both up 0.4 percent, to 12,530.25 and to 5,199.20, respectively, while the FTSE MIB in Milan advanced 0.3 percent to 22,195.95.The euro traded at $1.20 and the pound fetched $1.32 at 11:10 a.m. CET.Retail and luxury stock were uneven, with the morning’s biggest gainers including Yoox Net-a-porter Group, 1.8 percent to 30.45 euros; Gemfields, 2 percent to 0.32 pounds, and Inditex, 1.2 percent to 31.83.Among the morning’s biggest fallers were, 8.6 percent to 0.30 pounds; Tod’s, 1.4 percent to 60.95 euros; Luxottica, 1.2 percent to 49.34 euros; Aeffe, 1.1 percent to 1.73 euros; Debenhams, 1.2 percent to 0.41 pounds; Italia Independent Group, 3 percent to 5.39 euros, and MySale Group, 2 percent to 0.98 pounds.Click Here for the WWD Global Stock Tracker >>
