Freeman Beauty Labs, the Beverly Hills-based mass beauty care marketer of Feeling Beautiful, Barefoot and Papaya products, has purchased several brands from Van Nuys, Calif-based Woodridge Labs, including Psssssst, an instant spray shampoo; Vita K Solutions for Skin Care; Ellin LaVar Textures, a celebrity stylist-inspired hair care line, and Perfect C, an antioxidant skin care system.

Freeman expects to expand these brands internationally.

“We believe that not only will we be able to offer our domestic customers more sales and profit opportunities with them, but also make them available to the more than 40 countries around the world that already buy our core Freeman brands,” said Larry Freeman, founder and chairman of Freeman Beauty.

Details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Annual sales for the four brands combined were approximately $12 million, according to industry sources.

Woodridge Labs’ co-founder, Joe Millin, sold the firm’s remaining brands to Jocott Enterprises Inc., a company headed up by Millin and the firm’s other co-founder, Scott Weiss.
